Students will learn and create a remarkable accordian book using the ancient art technique of NOTAN (the interaction between positive and negative space.) This process is the backbone for learning perfect design principles that can be incorporated into every aspect of art. Students can also use their Notan cut paper designs to create one-of-a-kind greeting cards.
The results of the finished projects will be amazing. Students will be able to use their Notan knowledge in altered books, collages and art dolls. Examples will be shown at workshop.
Supplies provided by Instructor: All papers and adhesives needed, student handout
Supply List :- Scissors ( important: bring a good pair of paper cutting scissors)
