Mary Beth Shaw
Mary Beth Shaw has been supporting herself as a mixed media artist for over ten years. She lives a "gypsy" life traveling to participate in fine art fairs and gallery shows and to teach workshops nationally. Her process utilizes pastel, ink, marker and acrylics layered with collage and texture; she welcomes so-called 'mistakes' because they lead to wonderful opportunities for artistic growth and discovery.
Mary Beth studied art at UC Berkeley (SF Extension). She is the author of Flavor for Mixed Media(available 2/11), published by North Light. Living in St. Louis with her husband and two cats, Mary Beth is passionate about every moment of life.
