This is the class for those who want to take their art skills to a new level by making their own molds from found objects and other decorative elements. Techniques include how to use a two-part silicone mold-making product to create detailed molds. Take it up a notch by filling your personalized molds with three art mediums; a jeweler's grade resin, air-dry epoxy clay and air-dry paper clay. Also learn how to paint, stain and distress your molded art pieces in order to finish them off and ready them for whatever jewelry, journals or assemblages your mind can dream up.

Kit fee of $15 payable to Instructor at class time includes:

Instructor supplies materials for students to show up and play.

Students should bring:

Three to four found objects that you have at home that you think might make a great mold, such as frozen Charlotte dolls, old hardware parts, large gears, big vintage buttons, shells, etc. Look around your studio to see what kinds of one-of-a-kind items you want to duplicate to expand your art-making supplies.
