Type of Workshop: Process and Project

I am always looking for alternative ways to display family photos. What better way than to solder a collaged photo stopper on top of an antique bottle. The best part is the topper is 2 sided. You can have an image on the front and whatever you like for the back. The possibilities are endless. Many of the bottles are from the early 1900’s. Each one comes with its own bit of history. As they age the glass changes color, areas become iridescent, cloudy areas appear, and depending where they were unearthed, bits of dirt and debris are living inside.

In this workshop, you will learn how to cut glass, solder dimensional pieces, patina solder, tack solder pieces together to create larger dimensional works of art. The techniques you learn in this class can be applied to numerous projects. This is both a process and project workshop with the emphasis being on soldering techniques.
