Creating in a relaxed environment focused on play and experimentation, you will be guided through the wondrous process of creating your own Wearable Shrine made of luminous Encaustic Wax! Learn new techniques developed by Linda which involve the simple casting of personal mementos in Encaustic Wax, compatible faux finishes and the the fun of Embedding and Collage! Together we will discover your shrine’s individual personality, and together we will transform our shrines and ourselves!

Encaustic Art is experiencing a revival among artists, since lying dormant in the Egyptian tombs. The process entails the painting and pouring of warm, pigmented beeswax and tree sap, which is then layered and scraped, revealing its naturally luminous and transparent nature. Encaustic Painting is combined with the wearable form for the first time in Linda McNulty’s work and classes.
