This is a 12 hour, 2 day workshop taught on Sunday and Monday.

Explore the art of figurative sculpture, learning how to work with handmade felt wool yarn, German chalks, beads, and hand stitching. There will be emphasis on needle sculpting techniques, body form and articulation, costuming and surface embellishment. At the end of the class, students will have completed a one-of-the-kind mermaid art doll.

Hand felted fabric
Wool yarn
Acrylic paint
Wooden hand stamped verse
Shells
Silk ribbon
Mohair
Cotton batting
