In less than a year, Marney Makridakis took a hobby-based art zine called Artella, and turned it into her full-time job. Four years later, Artella is a multi-faceted company run by a team of over ten people, serving a creative community of thousands in many diverse and inspiring ways, and is one of the most visited Web sites in the world. Marney has taught herself and inspired so many others to do it, and there’s nothing she loves doing more than helping artists reach their dreams by doing precisely what she did: design her perfect dream job doing what she loves to do.
