Working with squares of copper, brass and tin, students will try various patinas and techniques on the metals. These techniques will include learning about various patinas to change the color of the metal, some simple metal etching and image transfer onto metal. After creating various small pieces with these techniques, students will build a small collage on a textured background, combining metals with various other pieces of ephemera and hardware.

Kit Fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes: 2" squares of various metals, Etching solution + plastic containers, Vinegar, Ammonia, Salt for Patinas, Paints for backgrounds, Some Ephemera

Supply list:
-Rubber stamps - deeply etched with relatively simple designs - should be 2" x 2" or smaller (instructor will have some to share)
-Roll of Saran Wrap (can be shared with friends)
-Any other decorative elements you might want to include (old keys, hardware, etc.) Some will be provided
-Crafters Ultimate Glue
-Water Container - the size of a 1 lb. Cottage cheese container
-Rubber Gloves
