You will assemble from scratch using a hodge podge, mish mosh collection of "stuff" (paper ephemera, shipping tags, envelopes, cut up junk mail, clear envelopes, and much more) TWO of the most unique artist books ever assembled. The books vary in size! You will make a regular size book and then a "mini" one that is small enough to accompany you on daily outings. We will cover, paint and embellish our book covers using a variety of mixed media tips, tricks and techniques turning the books into a visual delight. Then you will pick from my collection of "paper ephemera" to use as the pages of your books using a quick and easy stitch to bind them all together. After assembling the books, we will spend the rest of the time painting and embellishing the pages of the books to make them even more unique. We will "bounce" ideas off of each book working between the two of them making them truly one of the most unique visual artists books you will ever create. It's unique. It's fun. It's different.

Supplies provided by Instructor: an array of mixed media supplies including professional artist acrylic paints and mediums, a vast variety of rubber stamps, collage ephemera, and all necessary materials.

Supply list:
-Selection of various collage ephemera to use "as" the pages and "on" the pages (handmade/decorative paper, copies of old photos, magazine clippings, journal pages, art book pages, cherished cut outs-anything that "speaks" to you. Please make color copies of anything you wish to use more then once)
-Scissors
-bone folder
-3 bristle brushes to paint and glue (no foam please)
-cork backed metal ruler
-container to hold water in
-black permanent ink pad (like Versafine or Memories)
-roll of paper towels
-roll of waxed paper
