| Head Sea Scrolls: art for the Head | $130 |
| Michael deMeng | |
| Student Level: All | |
| Type of workshop: Process and Project |
Okay, as you all know I am somewhat known for my use of non-traditional objects in my art. I love transforming the everyday into something seemingly sacred. Well, here's a class that takes that idea to the nth degree. What could possibly be more everyday and banal than a toilet roll dispenser.hmmm..hmmm? Your task will be to transform these ordinary items into displays for illuminated manuscripts. The class will consist of two parts, transforming the toilet paper dispenser and creating the parchment, using collage, painting, drawing, and probably a few other things I can't think of. Now you'll actually have something worth reading in the bathroom.
Kit Fee of $10 payable to instructor at class time includes: toilet paper holder and mount, canvas for the scrolls
