I have a passion for recycling and incorporating everyday items into my work. I enjoy creating my own images and embellishments and I know you will too. In this class, you will create an eclectic collection of mixed media shapes, doodads and collage bling that add interest to your work and are super fun to make. We will make dimensional freeform oddities, interesting painted paper backgrounds and densely embellished fabric and mixed media accoutrements, whatchamacallits, thingamajigs and fandangles that add a punch of WOW! to your work.

I will show you various techniques...... like Cellophane Treats, making your own canvas, Paper Twist and Shout, textured paper paste, and much much more. This class will go fast and will keep you jumping from one thing to the other. Let's Play. The pictures provided are a small sampling of all the wonderful doodads we will make.

Supplies provided by Instructor include: an assortment of supplies to share with the class.

Supply list:
-fashion magazines
-your paper collection (examples include: pages from books, tissue paper, cardboard, tracing paper, brown paper bags, graph paper, any kind of junk mail envelopes, sheet music, newspaper, parchment paper, gift wrapping paper and/or any other ephemera you have like cut flowers from magazines, eyes, images, etc....) bring it all in a folder for easy access and organization.

-old credit cards to use as a paint applicator
-brushes
-acrylic paints in your favorite colors
-transparent and white gesso
-Liquitex Liquid Medium (Gloss or Matte)

-The best tool for this class is your hands, come prepared to get messy.
