The sacred page is no longer limited to paper or even fabric. The stone-like texture of plaster is now translated into page form for a stouthearted and tactile base for painting, writing, journaling, or collaging.
In this workshop you will learn basic construction techniques for building plaster pages as well as binding and connecting techniques which you can apply to your pages at home. Not limited to (but wonderful for) art books, these pages also offer a rich, textural base for other decorative art. An original plaster casting technique will also be demonstrated and practiced enabling you to incorporate three dimensional plaster pieces to your pages. Each student will go home with a stack of ready-to-alter plaster pages and cast elements to work with.
