Caroline Jasper
Caroline Jasper

Contemporary Impressionist and colorist, Caroline Jasper's paintings are "always about the light", says the artist. "It can dramatize the most ordinary places." Red is Jasper's trademark. Her bold works begin on color ground, usually red, which serves to invigorate visual interaction against loosely applied color marks.

Jasper's work ranges from on-site small to studio large. The critically acclaimed artist's paintings have been in solo and group exhibitions at museums and galleries throughout the United States. Her works are held in private, celebrity, public, corporate, and museum collections internationally.

Author of books, feature artist in DVDs, and self-publisher of instructional materials, Jasper's works and words also appear in art magazines, newspaper articles, blogs and books by others. Painting and teaching have been life long partners for her. She draws on a Maryland Institute College of Art MFA, forty plus years as secondary and college level art instructor, gallery and college lecturer, and exhibition juror. Jasper is an avid painter, both plein air and studio, while continuing as a veteran workshop instructor in nationwide venues. Galleries in Arkansas, California, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, and Texas represent her work.

A Maryland native, Jasper now maintains her home and studio in Florida.
