Using watercolors, we will explore ways to keep your paintings fresh and lively by incorporating colorful whites and colorful darks. White daisies, birch trees and a white picket fence have many nuances of color as the sunlight shines on them. Watercolor is the perfect medium for making these objects glow with hints of color. From shadows to color-filled dark windows, we will find ways to enliven the dark area of the paintings using them to enhance the whites. Using colorful darks we will enhance the glowing whites!

** (From above...) This workshop is fun for all levels of watercolor painters. I welcome new beginner watercolor enthusiasts as well as more advanced students to participate in all my classes. Whether you consider yourself to be a new or advanced painter, we all start at the beginning and will become better and better painters the more we paint. As we learn new and exciting techniques, we begin to get a feel of how the water interacts with the paint and the paper. Desire and passion are what are needed to be successful watercolor painters, with artistic talent being a bonus! I will have fun projects for all levels and each person will be working at their level. I always tell my students, "Put miles on your brushes!". This is a great workshop for learning how to keep your watercolors fresh and vibrant.
