Auction & Contests

Silent Auction Benefits YDI

Silent Auction art is donated by 12 randomly selected instructing artists, other artists and participants
of AU swaps. All monies raised will benefit the art program at Youth Development Institute. Those of you who
have been to AU know that one of my passions is helping needy children. YDI does just that with a large
number of at-risk children benefitting from living and being educated at YDI.

Our vision is of a therapeutic community,
a village where children find a place to belong and grow,
where they can create identity through lasting relationships with caring adults,
where they find a home for the heart and spirit, a place of healing and hope.

Saturday Evening Fun

Join us for an evening of fun and laughter as we enjoy Art Unraveled's Story Tellers. Story Telling has hit the country with a big splash. Although story telling has been around for an unknown number of years, organizations and groups began forming about 4 years ago according to our research. Here in Phoenix there are several groups who hold Story Telling evenings hosted in various large venues; large venues because they are very well attended, selling out at each event. Our Story Tellers will be a few of our teachers plus attendee volunteers. Our topic of the evenng will be ta-dah - art. There are lots of sub topics which can be explored under the theme of art, so come join us Saturday evening to learn what the artists have to say about their chosen profession or the passion for art that just won't let go of them.
Expected Story Tellers: Thomas Ashman, Serena Barton, Sunny Carvahlo, Lisa Cheney, Jen Cushman, Michael deMeng and Katherine England, as time allows.
