Learn to see using the components of composition to develop watercolor still life paintings with a bit of fun. We'll work from still life set-ups in the classroom based on farm to table goodies, plates, bowls, funky doodads, and fabrics. Watercolor dropped in color techniques, water and paint to brush ratios, color drop timing, and color mixing will be explored to build up the surfaces, paint translucent layers, and create extraordinary shapes. Basic knowledge of watercolor is needed and we'll go into more depth behind the characteristics of watercolor. Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):
