The unique nature of color use and materials will give the advanced students a fun approach to traditional styles. Fun for everyone!

Kellie Newsome is a bright and colorful artist that will teach you how to turn a beautiful photo of any animal into a fun and bold painting with tons of movement and interest. She has a very simple class structure and will show you each stage with great detail. She will create a complete painting along with you to show every stage. Kellie will teach you how to use fun and bright colors to create simple harmony in a very easy fun way! She will show you how to pick a strong photo reference and use it to create something loose and unique with a big punch. This style of creating provides great inspiration to add splashes of color and vibrant marks to any subject matter. Select your photos of your animal ahead of time (1 week ahead) and Kellie will help you pick and edit them so you are ready for class. Portraits will focus on head and shoulders only, just like a school photo. Photos will also be provided in class if you would like to choose a common breed or farm animal.
