In this class we will learn how to manipulate annealed steel wire. Wire pattern making, bending, crimping, and rolling wire to achieve desired shapes. We will experiment with different types of paper and learn the easiest way to use them to cover your wire skeleton.

Instructor Provided (for use in-class, and to share):

  • I will bring extra supplies and tools to share.

Student should bring:

  • 200 or 400 ft. 16.5-Gauge Rebar Tie Wire (Home Depot $5, Lowe's $6.50)
  • 1 package white Tissue paper ($1 dollar store) or tissue paper with a small print
  • 4 oz white glue like Elmer's
  • 1/4" and 1/2" paintbrush flat
  • 2 small containers for water and glue
  • Wire cutters
  • Medium weight pliers - round nose and flat
  • If you want to make a night light, bring a small bulb nightlight kit with cord.
